Lyrics

[Intro]
Yeah
Ay, ay
Weekend on lock

[Verse 1]
Clock out, let the pressure fall
New shoes, new mood, new call
Bills on pause, babe, look at me
Tonight we move how we wanna be
Keys in the bowl, phones face down
We came too far to be stuck now
Hair let loose, shirt unbuttoned
Whole room turn when we come in

[Pre-Chorus]
One more sip, then we go
Feel that heat in the floor
Hands up high, don’t behave
We got time to misbehave

[Chorus]
Thank God it's Friday
We came to play, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Take it off, let it sway, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Be bad, be free, be you
Thank God it's Friday
Do what you wanna do

[Verse 2]
Boots on the dance side, heels in the air
Gold on your skin, I’m staring, I swear
Close to the bassline, closer to me
Say what you want, tonight we agree
No fake smile, no tight face
Just your wild heart in the right place
Laugh too loud, move too slow
When the night says yes, we both say go

[Pre-Chorus]
One more sip, then we go
Feel that heat in the floor
Hands up high, don’t behave
We got time to misbehave

[Chorus]
Thank God it's Friday
We came to play, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Take it off, let it sway, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Be bad, be free, be you
Thank God it's Friday
Do what you wanna do

[Bridge]
Let the whole week burn away
Tonight we don’t need to explain
Pull me close, then pull me back
We in our truth, and that’s a fact
Say my name, then say it twice
We can get lost, it feels so right

[Final Chorus]
Thank God it's Friday
We came to play, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Take it off, let it sway, yeah
Thank God it's Friday
Be bad, be free, be you
Thank God it's Friday
Do what you wanna do
